Overview
MicroEnglish is CDIAM's own English learning product. Each lesson is a short listening exercise: learners hear natural English in a British, American or Australian voice, type what they catch, and get word-by-word feedback on exactly what they missed. The site publishes at least nine new lessons every day.
Challenge
Most learners can read far more English than they can understand by ear. Long courses and hour-long lessons do not fit into a working day, and generic quizzes rarely show a learner which sounds they keep missing. The challenge was to make listening practice short, specific and honest about mistakes, and to produce enough good lessons every day to keep it fresh.
Solution
We built a focused practice platform and the content pipeline behind it. Every lesson centres on one phrase, word or grammar point, with dictation clips in three accents, reading, writing and speaking practice, and a test. An automated pipeline drafts each lesson, checks its teaching structure and copy, records the audio and verifies every clip by transcribing it back against the script, then publishes it. Lines that only a human ear can judge go to a person in the admin panel.
